In July 07 I had the chance to work with a friend, Kwame Stephens. I assistant directed scenes for the Baobab Stage at AFROFEST. It was a beautiful weekend and we had the youth stage at Queens Park had its largest crowds ever. The scenes were performed by actors Seifu Belechew, Muoi Nene, and Lua Shayene. North America’s largest and longest-running African festival, AFROFEST is a celebration of African music and culture.
