We mined the great Canon of the Great Bard for 200 monologues that are typically performed by women. I teamed up with Jonathan Heppner and Kimberly Purtell to whittle the list down to 50 for piece we’re developing, SHAKESPEARE’S VOICE. Produced by Theatre Local and with development assistance by Videocabaret, SHAKESPEARE’S VOICE was workshopped in September 2012 and presented in 10 sets as a part of Scotiabank Nuit Blanche on September 29, 2012.
